Having previously been lucky enough to have Salim show me parts of Dhofar, I had no hesitation recommending him to a friend visiting Salalah and who needed a guide with local knowledge, experience and a vast network to draw on.
I was still on my first cup of coffee when the first messages plinged in on Whatsapp “What an amazing day!”, my friend gushed excitedly. “I finally got to see the baobab trees of Dhofar!”
Salim, her great guide, had certainly made her day. The day she met the gentle giants of Dhofar.
