When is the best time to visit Salalah?

In my view, the best time to visit Salalah is from Mid-September to the end of May for the following reasons:

• The sea is beautifully calm and the most beautiful turquoise in colour.

• You can see dolphins and turtles

• Temperatures are an enjoyable 25-30 degrees Celcius

• This is the low season for hotels so you will find great deals on accommodation.
   

June - September is the Khareef season (rainy season)

• This is considered the high season due to the number of Arab tourists who flock to Salalah to escape the summer temperatures of 50 degrees Celcius or more.

• If you want to escape the heat and do not mind the extra traffic and rain you can still enjoy the sites of Salalah - it just may take a little longer than normal!
